Orange Dreamsicle

Our Sunshine Golden Milk topped with a vanilla-orange cold foam.

Our Sunshine Golden Milk goes perfectly with orange—and orange with vanilla and cream is an iconic flavor combo. So, naturally, when you combine them all, the result is dreamy!

This Orange Dreamsicle is healthful and simple to whip up, while feeling fancy and a tad indulgent. Serve to yourself as a treat (or daily, why not?!), at Sunday brunch or in the backyard for your friends on a sunny day.


Note: to make the cold foam, it’s ideal to use a handheld frother. If you don’t have that, you can try shaking it in a jar or using a small whisk (and a lot of wrist stamina). Alternatively, if you’re making a bigger batch to share, you can make it in a French press by plunging the press up and down.


Ingredients:

6 oz + 1.5 Tbsp milk of choice

1 Tsp Sunshine Golden Milk

1.5 Tbsp heavy cream* (sub coconut cream for vegan-friend version)

1/2 Tsp raw honey

Dash of vanilla extract (~1/8 tsp)

Orange zest - of 1/4 orange - or about 1/8 tsp, loosely packed

Ice

Directions:

  1. Warm 1 oz of milk and 1 tsp of Sunshine Golden Milk on the stove top (preferrable) or in the microwave.

  2. Pour into 8-10 oz glass, and then top with 5 oz of milk.

  3. In a small jar or cup, add the raw honey, vanilla and orange zest. Mix until incorporated.

  4. Add heavy cream (or coconut cream) and remaining 1.5 Tsp of milk to the honey mixture. Whip using a frother (or one of the methods listed above) until it stabilizes and thickens.

  5. Add ice to the golden milk glass and top with cold foam. Enjoy

Note: if you’re looking for an extra treat, increase the ratio of cream to milk in the cold foam. ;)
