Citrus Joy Sorbet

A zesty frozen treat

that embodies joy and sunshine.

Bright, uplifting citrus meets Mood Nectar —our mood balancing herbal powder—in this refreshing “sorbet” that’s the perfect antidote to the late-winter blues. Besides a little thinking ahead (the orange segments need to be pre-frozen), this recipe comes together quickly and requires only four ingredients. The homestretch of winter can be tough on the spirits, so whip some up to bring a little joy and sunshine to your heart on a grey day!

5 seedless oranges (or citrus that’s similar in size and flavor-feel free to mix and match)

1 Tbsp + 2 Tsp Mood Nectar

2 Tbsp honey

Zest and juice of one lemon (if it’s a juicy lemon, use no more than 1.5 Tbsp juice)

  1. Peel the oranges and separate into individual segments before placing in a bowl and freezing for at least 5 hours. For the smoothest final texture, remove as much pith as possible.

  2. Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth. Stop occasionally to scrape down the sides. It takes a few minutes and a little bit of melting to reach the desired consistency. You can add a tablespoon or two of water or orange juice if you’re having a hard time reaching a smooth texture.

  3. Serve and enjoy! Makes 5 servings.
